We've run him into the ground, like a fair few others, and it's showing. Played seemingly every game for club and country, with no break, for about 4 years now, it's not surprising him and a few others aren't looking energetic or sharp.

I feel the same. He's not playing well but he's been absolutely flogged and that's on Pep really. The guy needs a rest.

It's very obviously this for me. There's literally no joy in his game at the moment. He's just working, and he's working a lot. I've got zero doubt that if he was playing 75% of what he is, in a confident functioning side, he'd look like the Bernardo we know.

Tbh, he wasn’t particularly great last season either. I think he’s lost half a yard which has impacted his ability to go past players when playing out wide and it’s very rare he beats a man nowadays. Probably best suited to being an engine in the middle as he at least never stops running for the team.
