Should have probably been sold after the treble season imo. I bet he regrets signing that extension. He probably should have just ran his contract down. I don't get why the club claim that anyone who doesn't want to be here can leave, but we've kept a player who has actively wanted out since 2020.
The club have done it twice now and it looks like both are going to end horrendously.

He will stay and pep be still playing him ahead of overs all next season he has blinkers on when it come to him!

Still trying but like KDB has lost what made him a great player. Attitude hasn’t changed but his body isn’t doing what it used to. Bet it’s horrible for him and Kev.

didn't he spend 3 summers trying to leave, and one of the reasons was living in manchester? I mean im happy he stayed and continued to perform during all that time but pretending he wasn't actively trying to leave isn't true.
Actively tying to leave would be transfer requests, refusal to turn up training and sulking on the bench. Instead Bernardo gave his very best years for the club, set records and won trophies like never seen before. If Barcelona had a pot to piss in then maybe they would have made us a decent offer and Bernardo probably would have gone but it never materialised.

did he not put a transfer request in 2020? and again im not knocking him im glad he stayed and performed as he did. I think bernies biggest mistake during the whole saga was his only barca stance he had. If he had tried to make a move to either of the madrid clubs who needed midfielders at the time i think he would have had more luck than a broke barca who owed us money from the torres deal.

Walker…
did walker want to leave? i do think we should have seen that he was started to slow down at the end of last season and bought a successor. There is no way any of us predicted the drop off would have been as bad as it ended up being.

Nobody was paying 60 million + for a bloke touching 30 on big wages who doesn't score or assist

Course he did. The club had to get Pep to persuade him. I’m not saying they should have predicted it or not I’m just saying that it’s twice now and its looking like they both are going to end bad. Although Walker was on the decline at the tail end of the treble season, that should of been predicted better.

Going the way of walker (with the fan base) if he doesn't move in the summer. Peps had a stinker with his roster this season.

Hes 30 now in 2020 he would have been 25. I believe we wanted 50 mil for him then from the rumours. Thats very cheap for a wc midfielder in the prime of his career. At the time i thought we were trying to give barca too good a deal im sure madrid would have been willing to pay more for him but barca couldn't even do that. Even if he had left after the treble season he would have been 28 50 to 60 mil is still a good deal for a wc midfielder of that age.

His move to the right wing was a killer today. All he did was to cut back and recycle the ball plus not being helped by no right back ever in attendance to overlap or assist

isn't that why pep uses him on the right wing though? He's always been used on the right for what you mentioned and to protect who ever is at right back.

Unfortunately finished and like gundogan and de bruyne should be moved on in the summer.

Problem is grealish, nunes, Lewis and possibly ederson could and should all leave so it’s likely Bernardo will stay.
