Another one to keep and and we should really give him a proper send off at the end of the season.
I reckon this could end up like one of those hoarders shows on tv where some old man or lady doesn't want to get rid of all the old stuff they have picked up over their lifetime.

Viana will be tossing lads that he thinks we have no use for into a giant skip and Pep will keep pulling them out again when Vianas back is turned.

It’s the time of year when he starts moaning for a move and think if he does, we should let me go this time. He’s been a great servant but his powers are declining.
"To witness Bernardo Silva playing football is like watching a lovable field mouse win 25 games of simultaneous chess, while also defeating an army of orcs using only a tickle stick" - even the haters love him. Different gravy is our Bernie.

Sadly , he will not do that this season
Hopes Viana gonna do everything possible to sell him

I get it’s modern football but personally I find it sad when people think like that about someone who’s been an absolute legend. If he stays two years past when he should have done, I don’t begrudge that for what went before.

Agreed. With the likes of Reijnders and Cherki coming in, along with Foden, Gonzalez, Bobb, Rodri and (presumably, given his one year extension) Gundogan, I can’t see Silva being in the starting XI for the opening game of the new season. A place on the bench for him, if he's still here.

Peps go-to guy. Will be a regular starter next season once again. Not a chance he will leave unless he wants to.
He can fill in anywhere at anytime, which is kinda valuable in a small squad. That said, if real money is floated, I’d expect him to be eased towards the exit.

Love the fella, but this is business.

No chance for me. He is pretty much untouchable in the squad. Fully understand the way Pep wants to play, pretty much his lieutenant on the pitch esp as time is catching up with Gundogan. Think he will be as highly valued as ever

Pep won't lose any sleep if he leaves Bernie or Gundo out of the team next season, that's a big plus for him.

Yea i can't see him going anywhere with Pep in charge .... even though its the right time for him to move on, for all parties
It's not the right time imo and he deserves a lot more credit than he is getting for his efforts last season. He was flogged to death but answered the call every time. He is going to be so valuable supporting our new players - remember how he helped Khusanov after he made mistakes in the first part of his debut.

If he leaves boils down to if there is real money on the table for him entering the last year of his contract. Pep always says that Bernardo will not leave when he is manager but financials take precedence especially with Hugo now in charge of transfers. A kind of less emotional stance.

As for Bernie himself he will not sign for more years here and would be ok with becoming a free agent next summer. He is in a strong position really as he will get a big payday in either scenario.

As for playing you could see the main difference last year was his reluctance to release the pass earlier - hanging onto the ball and taking a safer option is often because confidence is lower and you get concerned about making errors. As a team it seemed that every error led to a goal around Nov- Jan and even though Bernie was still energetic enough to get into good areas time and again he went backwards - So I don't think he's lost his legs or anything like that it was about confidence and just doing what was necessary to ensure CL qualification. The new signings have proved that one of the big attractions of signing was to play in the WCC and the CL. So Bernie played his part.

In conclusion for me I would be happy if he goes or stays - if he does move on he will have been integral to all our recent successes and for that he will be fondly remembered. If he stays I hope to see a more offensive version of the little fella.

He's past it. He offered nothing for almost 3 seasons. He wants to play for Barca but they can't afford him. What's the point of keeping him?
