20 | Bernardo Silva - 2025/26

Big shoes to fill indeed and I'm not sure how he can be replaced. Closest thing i’ve seen to him is his Portuguese pal Vitinha.
Will probably be the same as trying to replace de Bruyne and Gundo. There are no like for like replacements, you just have to build the squad with players who have those qualities and see if they play well enough together to the same effect.

Testament that our recent legends have been absolute unicorns who gave us the best years of their careers.

Would love the club to sort him a new 2 year deal, his running stats are still incredible and he has never been a player reliant on speed. If it helps him to stay give John a new deal too (the footballer not the pet dog?)

Assistant physio? - he must know the ropes by now!

For me, this will be the most difficult departure. He wears the shirt like we would. 100% commitment each time, every time. Speaks so well and has completely immersed himself into Manchester life.

Despite playing international footy with the biggest ego's and some thoroughly dislikeable team mates, he's maintained his humble persona and no fucks given attitude.

Fucking love the bloke.

Liverpool at home in 18/19 and the Madrid treble home game might be my two all time favourite individual performances in a City shirt, for entirely different reasons.

Agreed 100%.

He will leave such a big void. Possibly the biggest because of all the running and differing qualities he offers.

Absolutely love and appreciate the guy and wish him the best whatever he decides to do. His choice but I hope he that if he is leaving us as seems very likely, he gives his final years as a player to the other club that he loves, Benfica. Be great to see him revive them to win the league.

I thought he would have been back to benfica. Hope he gets whatever move he wants. Been immense for us. Brilliant in every aspect.
