I was actually thinking the other day of who'd be above him in terms of importance during Pep's tenure, and the list is VERY short. IMO, KDB is the only definitive one on my list. I'm sure others might have a few more than that, though.

He’s the perfect midfielder if he’s not being asked to create (anymore). If he’s there to do the running and be clever on the ball to then allow others to be fluid in their attack then there’s not many better.

Having Bernardo, KDB, Gundo and Rodri in the same team in 22/23 was cheat code. No wonder we won the lot and didn't lose a game in the CL.

In terms of performances in big big games - vs the likes of Liverpool, Bayern, Real - Bernardo is above any of the older legends and on a par with KDB.
