We got 91 points in winning the league in 23/24 and have the joint most points in the league in 2025, alongside Arsenal (but a better GD)

Literally the only time we weren't getting enough points to win the league is November and December 2024 when everyone was injured.

Noticed his covering first half. Cherki was caught a little high up the pitch and Bernardo sensed it and filled the hole stopping an attack. Does all the dirty work that you don’t often notice. Really intelligent player and its clear why pep loves him.

Completely agree that what we need is Vitinha / Barella kind of midfielder. I like for us to sign Anderson, just not convinced he's 100% in that mould. Our best bet may be one of Rodri or Nico G taking over that role, or NOR moved into midfield.

None of rodri or Nico are quick enough for the barella type of game. They don’t have the agility for it . City needs someone else outside or hope O’Reilly can be that one . His Touch isn’t nearly as good as Barella or Vitinha‘s though

Absolutely shocking. He’s been done for 2 years. One of the best we’ve ever had, but was always going to burn out young because of his work rate in his prime. The choice to make him captain is absolute madness. Needs to be moved on ASAP.

I said he's become one of the worst attacking players in history in the last 18 months and some guys are giving me shit for it lol, I mean can you actually tell me if he comes up with anything these days ? you might say I'm exaggerating and there are plenty of worse attackers in the world, but how many of them play for a top club like City ? I have huge respect for what he's done for City but if you need a goal he's the last player you want on the ball these days.

So what's your point? It's not his fault Pep puts him in a wide attacking role at times. I agree I never want to see this Bernardo outside on the right either. But as a central midfielder grafting for the squad he is STILL elite. At times he is a one man press. It's insane. Saturday against Sunderland I watched him force them into numerous turnovers singlehandedly. We have plenty of other players to handle scoring a goal. Just a question, did you play the game? Bernardo is the kind of player I absolutely loved playing with. He's technically and tactically brilliant but plays as if he's trying to make the squad every time out.

Just goes to show experience doesn't always bring expertise, he was one of the better players tonight. One of the few who kept their heads.
His current job in the team is not to be flashy, we need at least one player who can keep the ball, play it simple and draw fouls when under the cosh
