20 | Bernardo Silva - 2025/26

There are lots of things you can say about Bernardo currently , lack of creativity, goals , assists, however saying his legs have gone is absolute bollocks. Consistently every game he is the one closing down the keeper from deep , harassing the opposition and generally running his bollocks off non stop and no slower pace wise than he ever was. I sometimes think people on here attend games with their eyes closed some of the shite they post.

Their minds are definitely closed judging by their posts.

We’re going to end up potless this season, and it’s down to having a glaring weakness in the starting XI that no other top side would stand for.
Bernardo is a shadow of the player he was; his legs have gone. Yet, instead of being a bit-part player, he’s one of Pep's favorites and plays virtually every minute. We know the injury crisis is a factor, but let’s be real—Pep would be starting him even if the whole squad was fit.If he’s still hanging around next year, even just for rotation, we can kiss any silverware goodbye—it'll be a repeat of the last two seasons. What a way for Pep to bow out, dragging his favorites across the finish line while the club stagnates.

It’s going to absolutely kill the morale in that dressing room. Why would elite, world-class talents like Haaland, Rodri, or Donnarumma bother? They’re going to lose all motivation when they realize they can bag 40+ goals a season and still have nothing to show for it(trophy) because we’re carrying passengers.
I responded in detail to you last time you posted and yet here you are spouting utter shite so this time I will just say Fuck Off you rag twat!

One of the worst opinions I've ever seen here. Which is saying something.

Never on the wings please.

Just have Nunes hold the width if required if we need players like Cherki or Semenyo who might play RW need to go inside.

Savinho naturally can hold the width but obviously being injured we dont have that option.

Would not be at all concerned if City gave him a 1yr deal for next season. He is a human dynamo. One minute he is relieving the pressure on the oppositions press, by dropping in and finding the outlet, the next he is grabbing hold of the ball and dictating the pace of the game, while moving players around to give himself options, and the next he is the most forward player, pressing the keeper or their last defender.

He really is the Energizer “Bernie” and we could do a lot worse for a Captain next season, even if he only plays half the games or is a late game sub.

His knowledge of the game, and especially the way Pep wants it played, even the game within the game, is second to none. He is a perfect second “DM” for games like last night, and while he will never be a winger taking on the full back, his through balls in behind for Nunes, or the attacker, are often slide rule passes. Throw in a little bit of naughty now and then, and you have the almost perfect all round player.

Now, if you could make him 6ft tall, a little speed and a shot on him, then he’d be a £100M+ unicorn!

I know he’s ready to move on with his family, but what’s 1 more year to a young lad like him???

Come on, Captain, sign a 1 year extension!!!

You’ve not really thought that through have you? In our big victories this season he’s been amazing. Can he play 90 minutes every three days? No. Newcastle away in the cup, he was everywhere, did everything. He was the standout player on the pitch. Senior players respect that. That’s why they’ve voted him captain. He’s a selfless footballer, he works his socks off.
