Might have got this wrong but I remember Puyol getting booed as he was meant to be signing for them
Not sure but Danny Tiatto nearly took his knee off in the corner near the North Stand! Puyol was not a happy man.

If was only a friendly as you say but in those days we weren't used to beating quality European opponents like Barcelona.
After finishing in the top half in our first season back in the Premier League, I like many others thought we would 'push on' in our new home. That season didn't really work out like that in the end did it! . When we did win we did seem to bang in the goals though. I remember a 6:2 and us scoring 5 on a couple of occasions and a couple of 4:1s (one against the Rags ofcourse!)

Scary to think that 10 year old kids watching this video will see it in the same way I saw highlights from 1984 when I was 10 years old. The 5-1 derby seemed like ancient history and it only happened five years before I was born ffs.
