I guess not no, but I don't think the owners, (and Bobby himself), have spent all that just so 4 years later the top 3 is as it was when they took over, other cup success or not. The league is what we should be going for, then the CL.

PS - It'll be very close at the top between us and Utd, but I think with their experience they'll just edge it, unfortunately. I really think we'll finish above Chelsea next season, their squad wasn't as strong as it was a few years ago; I can see us overtaking them, although they're still a great team. We're the team in the ascendcy at the moment and I expect us to put in a similar season (i.e. impressive league finish and serious contenders for a trophy, if not winning a trophy) to the one we just had. Roberto will organise his squad ready for next season's CL, and I firmly believe the rest of Europe will wake up to the fact that we are here (or will be) now and that we will go on to prove next season that we will be serious contenders of the CL (like Barca, Madrid, United, Chelsea, Inter, Milan, Munich etc). I am backing the lads to have a great season and one that will make Europe wake up and realise we have hit the big time. CTID

I was being serious with my prediction.

I don't think we're going to improve our squad over the summer to the extent we need to in order to form a title challenge.

Maybe I was being a bit too negative in Liverpool finishing above us but I do think they'll get champions league next year.
