2014/15 accounts released - £10.7m profit

Bit surprised it's not higher to be honest

Got to the same stage in the CL

Similar amount of TV money from the PL

But supposedly big sponsorships like Nissan and SAP being announced

Only 4m more than last years TO

Increased commercial activity was slightly offset by a decrease in match day revenue.
Don't forget we could only cram 45k into the Etihad due to the stadium works and played fewer home games than in 2013/14.

I'd expect a considerable increase for this season. If we can average around 54k, and have a decent run in the domestic cups, plus the increased amount of corporate tickets, our matchday revenues could grow by around £10-12m I'd say. Then when you take into account extra broadcasting money for the new BT Champions League coverage, along with further commercial sponsorship, we could feasibly be looking at £390m for 2015/16.

i think it's interesting to bear in mind that we have turned a profit with fines, pretty hefty transfer fees paid and lack of real champs league success.

youd think they are trying to reduce the wage bill a touch, reduce net transfer expenditure long term and also look to bringing in the big returns of regularly doing well in the champs league.

which means we are doing very well indeed.

Haven't we also got the new PL TV deal money as well ?

Looking online i see a fair few idiots dismissing this as "the shady etihad deal", when in fact that could and should be higher.

I think its fair to stay some, many, people are not liking being repeatedly proven wrong about us and our owner

I'm going to make a habit of reading this every time we lose.

Cheer me right up. Crazy to think of how well run we are (ticket office excluded), especially compared to the shambles of not so long ago.

I don't know what this idiot Rob Harris is on about. There was a profit on ordinary trading of £67.2M and a loss on player trading of £56.5M to give an overall profit of £10.7M. A classic example of someone going to his keyboard without engaging his brain.
