Spurs just lost Cissoko.

You wonder about these high profile "friendlies" thousands of miles from home. Ok it's a money earner but also comes with a price- injuries mainly. Then if you win everyone says it's only a glorified training session but if you lose badly it can be very damaging to morale.

Peg has claimed the results don't matter because it's only a run around for young players but his latest comments reveal that they do indeed matter if you lose heavily.

I mentioned this injury to a Spurs fan in my football game this morning and he said “our luck is finally improving”. Got a right chuckle from all of us.

1st August – 03:05 – Barcelona vs AS Roma – (In Arlington, TX)

Bit too late to stay up for a Mourinho meltdown, look forward to reading about it in the morning though.

It’s not really about money, at least not in the short-term. It’s more about raising the profile of the club(s) in America - and around the world, of course - though that will mean higher income in the medium- to long-term.

Also, injuries can happen anywhere, especially against cloggers from lower league clubs. No disrespect intended.
