He's about as eloquent and charismatic as it's possible to be.

when Trump loses and loses badly the outcome will not be good. If I were American I'd vote Biden if only to oust Trump but I'd stay well away from any celebratory gatherings and every Hank, Joe. Bobby and Cletus is armed to the teeth and will be out on mass shooting sprees -bet a lot of the Po-leese don't intervene either

I think that Democrats in 2020 could only pose a potential successor to Trump by nominating a centrist - Biden - given his longevity in the party - and the Obama "halo" factor - plus his easy-going empathetic personality - was - and is - the best chance - for Democrats to win the 2020 presidential election.

I too miss articulate, charismatic orators - JFK and MLK were among the most recent best on the left... on the right, Nixon for me, was the most recent - though some might say, Reagan.

For whatever reason, skillful, passionate oration in American politics has been absent at the presidential level for at least 40 years.

Although I agree that a Kennedy-like orator in 2020 could only help the cause of the left... I don't think it's desperately needed.

What's more curious to me... why hasn't such an eloquent, charismatic leader on either the left or the right won the presidency over the past 40+ years?

How is Joe Biden not charismatic? He's been on the national stage for years and has remained likable and humble. If anybody isn't charismatic it's Dumb Donald. He screams, lies, bullies, treats women like garbage and mocks disabled people.

If you walk into a bar and Joe Biden is on one end telling stories and Dumb Donald is on the other any sane person would sit and listen to Joe. Nobody wants to hear from a blowhard egomaniac.

I’d find a seat on my own or find a different bar.

Bill Clinton, for all of his ...issues, is extrodinarily charasimatic. If anyone needs proof watch a few muintes of his speech at the 2012 DNC nominating Obama. It’s the best political speech I’ve ever seen.
