A lot less to count here. If we had no running totals in the US we wouldn't have a clue what's going on for days, and that's worse. Usually you don't have so many absentee votes either and certainly wouldn't be counting those so late. That has obviously caused such a shift in the overall position that they can't call results early either.
 
The only time terrence k williams has been worth a laugh is his twitter feed the last two days and his complete denial and conviction of voter fraud.

The bellend doesn't even know what ballot duplication is and uses a CNN feed the clown




The rest of his feed is utter hillarity of a clown in meltdown
 
Another thing we have learnt from this election is that Americans can't fucking count......at least quickly that is.

Farcical what is happening here and it just feeds Trump and his narrative.

Count the votes, get the results out, declare Biden the winner FFS.
 
Genuine question, does anyone still think Trump is just a normal president/politician and a wanna authoritarian/dictator?

One particularly interesting point is how it's held up (by some in America) as some sort of model for the world, when in reality, it was a complex system of compromises designed to keep the early republic together.

EXACTLY!!!

37 of the states didn’t even exist when they made this stupid compromise, and with a population of only 5.3M, all living within a day’s ride of each other, they had ZERO IDEA that there’d be 330,000,000 people from coast to coast, plus Alaska and Hawai’i, with blacks and women as young as 18 ALLOWED to vote!!

Time to bring the election of the President into the 21st century!

Theatre.

If you're at a count, you know how many votes have gone to each candidate. Just count the bundles in each pile. Most postal ballots have been verified (signatures checked etc*) before close of poll so the ballot papers just come to the tellers in a normal ballot box, and usually get the Tories off to a good start. They seem round our way to have been out harvesting completed application forms whereas Labour workers are told not to handle completed forms but ask voters to send forms in (or apply online).

* the rejection rate in the UK used to be high for postal ballots, if signatures didn't match closely enough or people got their birth date wrong, and until a few years ago the election officers were not allowed to tell the voter so someone could have votes rejected in every election but not know it.

We also have people ruffling papers into piles and then wrapping a rubber band round them while arranging them on trestle tables suitable for street picnics.
US do have scanning machines that can scan, count, sort into piles very quickly.
Meanwhile we're still in the 19th century.

Barmy that they are still fannying around still counting and more so coming on an English football site to justify it.

Tons of things to criticize America about right now. Voter suppression and corruption is a start. But counting votes slowly ain't it...I think the states have largely done an incredible job, all things considered

Presumably other states not crucial to the result are also still counting.
