El Presidente
I fucking hate tweets like that, smacks of arrogance and entitlement.
Even morons deserve a voice, democracy should never be the preserve of the intelligentsia and the entitled.
BTW, Merry xmas pal, hope you have a good un.
They do not. We are not a democracy. We are a representative democracy. Citizens in a representative democracy have a responsibility to be informed if they want it to survive, because representatives — who should, to do the jobs they’re elected to do, not be morons — are our collective voices. They work for us not for me.I fucking hate tweets like that, smacks of arrogance and entitlement.

Therefore i assume you would be in favour of an IQ based voting system. They do not. We are not a democracy. We are a representative democracy. Citizens in a representative democracy have a responsibility to be informed if they want it to survive, because representatives — who should, to do the jobs they’re elected to do, not be morons — are our collective voices. This is why by the way holding a vote on Brexit is a wholly unfathomable thing to Americans like me.
Anyhow, this is the fucking Golden Age of morons having a voice — the internet has democratized the bully pulpit for them anyhow.
Had a look at the poem and struggled somewhat with the syntax but having read this analysis of it, I agree that it captures Trump exactly.I concur. It was always going to end like this. I quoted “The Bishop Orders His Tomb at St. Praxed’s Church” by Browning like two years ago, a poem that neatly sums up the raving thoughts of an evil, formerly powerful narcissistic cretin on his deathbed as the darkness creeps in around him — Hitler’s bunker 100 years before it’s time.
There are elements of Nixon I learned eventually that made me at least a little sympathetic towards him, albeit very little. There are, and will be, none of those for this colossal douchebag.
well in America they have the same issue with guns, most people are responsible and educated and respectful on their right to have one, there are a bunch of morons who use them irresponsibly to the detriment of huge swathes of innocent people but it's a fundamental part of their western democracy to have them and the alternative is to take away that right altogether. So not too dissimilar. Therefore i assume you would be in favour of an IQ based voting system.
Or policy based. You have to pass a test to drive a car, you should need a working knowledge of the party and the policies you’re voting for. Not that it will ever happen. Therefore i assume you would be in favour of an IQ based voting system.
Exactly, force people to prove they actually know any of the policies of the person they are voting for. If they don't, sorry, you don't get to vote. That's not about intelligence, it's about making an informed decisionOr policy based. You have to pass a test to drive a car, you should need a working knowledge of the party and the policies you’re voting for. Not that it will ever happen.
For fucks sake, the amount of Americans that think free healthcare is ‘communism’ is astonishing.
You can “hate” posts like that all you want, they’re absolutely bang on the fucking money.
Happy Christmas Russ.
I’ve already said it would never happen but it’s more than simple enough and could be done when they have to register to vote every four years. How are you going to test so many people every 4 years? What if they pass the test and still vote "stupid"
No sir. I disagreed with morons "deserving" a voice. They should have one, even if they don't deserve it, even if they use it to vote for people who would destroy the fabric of the democracy they live under that provides for them to have that voice. Therefore i assume you would be in favour of an IQ based voting system.
Chickenshit Post of the Year Award. Never has one been so smug about getting everything completely fucking wrong. On the eve of the result, I keep remembering.
I think of 2016 after Trump won. The prediction of World War 3, nuclear holocaust, rounding up and imprisonment of minorities, legalised murder, fascist dictatorships and the KKK.
What did we get? Basically nothing. No big wars, no genocides or tanks rolling down Pennsylvania Avenue, no war with Russia or Syria, no concentration camps for Muslims. In the end we got a strongly opinionated and pretty uncouth standard Republican. Legislatively, the country is almost no different now than it was 4 years ago - no major changes have been made outside of the SCOTUS which is basically a luck of the draw type thing depending on when people retire or die, and even that's a continuation of existing legislation rather than a change to the structure.
All that energy, all that paranoia and screeching and impotent rage and what actually changed as far as the US is concerned from 4 years ago? Very little. Nothing that can't be changed back in about a month. Trump's Presidency had exactly the impact that I always believed it would and the predictions led where I always believed they would.
In 10 years nobody will remember a single detail of his Presidency and instead they'll be focused on the next Republican who is definitely a racist fascist and going to be the end of us all, just like Trump was, just like Romney was, just like Bush was. Hell, he might even become a figure of "well he wasn't that bad" if he gives out some sweets to the First Lady and does a bit of painting.
When I think of the last 4 years, I won't think of what the US right gained but instead what the US left lost. They lost their perspective, they lost their rationality and they lost their moral high ground. They lost their minds. And all for a one note no mark President who didn't achieve anything and will have no historical impact at all. Sad to see. Let's hope that Trump Derangement Syndrome as the right called it was always a real thing and once he's out of office, some semblance may return.
Never is too strong, he's done it many tmes before.Chickenshit Post of the Year Award. Never has one been so smug about getting everything completely fucking wrong.
That particular one was the equivalent of walking into an elevator, letting loose a big fart, blaming everyone else in the elevator for it, then walking out before the doors close and the elevator has a chance to change floors.Never is too strong, he's done it many tmes before.
I thought it was commendable of Trump to not stop at just pardoning 1 turkey this year.Very weird how the man at the top can pardon anybody he wants. That is not going to happen in the UK.
Indeed and about as tasty as when he claimed the Japanese were slaughtering Whales for "scientific" reasons. That particular one was the equivalent of walking into an elevator, letting loose a big fart, blaming everyone else in the elevator for it, then walking out before the doors close and the elevator has a chance to change floors.
