Sarah Gideon just conceded the senate race here (Maine) to Susan Collins (literally doing it right now via live statement).

Very disappointed, to say the least.

I hope Trump makes an announcement that his supporters take this defeat on the chin and don't kick off causing violence. America is a tinderbox nobody should want repercussions doubt and this to continue past the result.
I’m afraid there is Very, very, very little chance of that happening, mate.

@DrBlueBob hasn’t been sharing his predictions with me.

I'd trust Sam ahead of me on this one Seb, and I've met a doctor or two in my time.

is there any possibility of a judge or court ordering these 27% of ballots being counted and added to the total?

Possibly but that would end up at the SC.

No. The Florida voting laws are really explicit, votes that don't arrive on time, don't get counted.

The only good outcome here is that Luis DeJoy goes to prison for a long time, for disobeying a judge's direct order and suppressing the vote.

Hey, and maybe he flips on Trump, what a way to kick off the Biden administration that would be.

There's a better chance of the sun rising in the west then that happening

Is the inference the Republican party worked with the postal service to sabotage the vote in democratic areas?

The postmaster general was appointed through Trump and is a Trump fanboy and donor.

To get him made postmaster general, Trump corrupted the board of the USPS, so that the republicans had the numbers to elect De Joy. There's supposed to be 9 voting members of the board who are bipartisan, there is currently 5 after Trump forced 2 democrats out and blocked their replacements.

Immediately after being appointed, De Joy started crippling the USPS, dismantling the post sorting machines that handle ballots, and bringing the USPS to its knees, taking postboxes off the street.

Since June people have literally been waiting 10+ days for a letter to arrive.

It's been known this will be a problem with the election since May.
