Fake news.

Yes Brown hurt pensions through tax raids.
As did Nigel Lawson.
As did George Osborne.
Not to mention companies being allowed to take contribution holidays on schemes that were in surplus or Asset stripped pension funds.
Tell me about it, my company (family owned) was sold to an asset stripper who, because our pension fund was awash with money, took a three year contribution holiday. This was not the members who continued to contribute. It was conveniently between actuarial valuations then along came Gordon brown and 9/11 and overnight the pension fund was in deficit. It has struggled along until this year and now it is being assesses by the PPF so from January 1st 2021 my annual increase will become a pitance (retired in 2011).

I know a fair bit about pensions having been the member nominated trustee for a good few years.

As a follow on from my previous post. Has any sitting PM, who failed to get re-elected, had a paddy and refused to leave office - I thought not. The new PM moves into No.10 within days.
Ted Heath came the closest, when there was a hung parliament in the 1974 GE. The Tories had a handful fewer seats than Labour but Heath tried to engineer a deal with the Liberals, who were led by Jeremy Thorpe. But Thorpe wanted a commitment to some sort of PR voting system that Heath refused to give.

Eventually Heath was forced to offer his resignation to the Queen and Harold Wilson took over as PM.

Which puts the lie to Gray’s simplistic take on electoral procedures.

They were saying last night, that if Dr zaius hands power to pence, then he can pardon him of all his misdemeanors and he'll walk scot-free l. How's that right.
Only on federal charges.
They can’t pardon him for the charges he faces against the like of New York.

Trump wouldn't need Pence to step in and pardon him. While he's still president for another couple of months he can pardon himself and the rest of his stinking crooked family for any federal crimes. That's even less right.

You can only be pardoned for crimes you’ve actually been found guilty of.

"Many of us have spent the past few years decrying the tendency of Trump supporters to live in a world of alternative facts. But ultimately reality bites. The fact that Trump and his cultists cannot point to a single actual case of fraud — much less enough fraud to overturn an election that he is on track to lose by a significant margin — makes it impossible for them to effectively challenge the results. Their theory — that Democrats perpetrated a massive fraud in the presidential race but neglected to fix the results of House or Senate races — is laughably absurd."

Max Boot in the Washington Post.

If you look at Biden's leads in all these pivotal states, you could easily accommodate the lot in Wembley stadium

They’ve all been hugely enjoyable in their own way.

Penn because of the huge lead that was devoured by postal votes; Georgia to observe the lead being slowly whittled away - plus, it’s Georgia! Arizona because of Trump’s graceless and disgusting attack on John McCain for being captured (who’s the loser now, ****?); and Nevada because it would have briefly given Trump a glimmer of hope.

All have their own inherent beauty.
