The more in depth research of voter demographics is months away but an immediate AP Votecast survey is here. One aspect that surprised me is that the older demographic was almost evenly split

Interesting comment on CNN last night as whether it was time for American politics to start having representaive parties for the different politics rather than left leaning liberals, centrists, social democrats and socialist all under the democratic banner and right leaning liberals, right centrist, tea party types, alt right and facist all having to run pretty much under the republican flag.

Cannot ever see it happening but would be good to see how wel certain ideologies would do.

Let's be honest, even amongst Republicans, there's probably a certain demographic of conservative religious types who can't be doing with Trump's antics and clear bullshit attempts to use their religion to gain votes.

Well yeah, just like the UK, the parties that have the power to change it are the ones that benefit from the current system, so it's not likely to happen.

Either they chose this location for some unfathomable reason, yet to be revealed in a 15-dimensional chess master stroke, or the Trump Campaign are utterly incompetent.

My money is on the latter.

I think as a nation they are still quite scarred by post WW2 fear of communism and McCarthyism. Anything even close to left of centre tends to be demonised as a communist plot.

Who is this pollster that Gingrich is talking about in this quote?

I can't remember his name, but there is one farily small outfit run by a guy who Trump favours, he predicted Brexit and Trump's 1st win. His USP is to ask people who they think their neighbour will vote for. In reality - who cares what one pollster thinks? He's all but on the payroll.

Oh no, pen.

Joe Biden is the great-great-great-grandson of Edward Blewitt, from Ballina, a County Mayo town, who emigrated to the US after the 1840s famine and settled in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

“The count just dragged out and dragged and finally it happened. We’re thrilled, we’re delighted,” said Joe Blewitt, 41, a plumber who is a third cousin of Biden.

He had endorsed his relative during the campaign with a sign on his van – “Joe Biden for the White House, Joe Blewitt for your house” – that spread on social media, prompting abuse from some Trump supporters in the US.

When we see "Oh no, pen" we have no way of knowing if it's for or against.

Yes, I've sort of concluded he is indeed just behaving like a spoiled baby. I suspect he'll push the legal thing and keep appealing as long as possible. I doubt even he thinks GE has a case, but probably thinks he can string the legal stuff out until 20th of Jan so even as he leaves the Whitehouse for the last time he xan bollocks on about this instead of bringing himself to admit defeat. Mind you, in a country in a country that found OJ guilty of driving offences rather than murder I suppose it's worth a try.
