Sloppy, slovenly, lazy citizenship has no excuse. If you spent any time understanding who or what Trump was prior to the election — hell, there’s only 30 plus years of public history about him, including books he (claimed he) wrote — I cannot see a moral person crafting a case for supporting him given his past where he’s demonstrated exactly what kind of character he has.

Caveat emptor, no fucking excuses. I can understand their decisions, but I don’t have to excuse them, and I don’t. Especially in 2020.

The fact he mobilised 70m to vote for him after the previous four years is the real shock....
And the real worry.
Would they vote for the same type of character again?

Well the outcome of that remains to be seen but I'd seriously doubt that many Americans would be happy to be part of a customs union that allowed their courts to be overruled and remembering as well that the people HAD been promised a vote for 20 years on something many didn't want to be in from the start. If there's one country on earth that should understand it, it's America. The vote was never the problem (democracy is welcome even if you lose), it was always what they did with the result.

agree. But the frustrating things is we live in a world where anyone in a position of power will get labelled a ‘****’, party feelings aside - Kier Staermer comes across as a relatively clever nice guy - yet already the hatred is spewing and he’s being labelled every sort of name you can imagine.
It’s just depressing that people only know how to hate nowadays

There's always been that element, but what scares me is the polarisation of every debate now makes all the sensible folk that would usually temper the hatred join in the spitting on one side or the other. I blame twitter, facebook and BM.

There is a school of thought that he’s too fucking quiet for people’s liking. Currently he’s gutting the defence ministry and replacing it with his loyalists. After all you need a military to pull off a coup.

Hopefully he’s just crying like a man baby and not being that malevolent.
