He won't fade away. He may be deprived of free "MSM" platforms (Twitter probably -- maybe Fox), but plenty of cult-grifting echo-chamber platforms will cover his every word, which is going to create a rift within the Republican party, half of which wants to move on, and half of which wants him back (or owes him, or is scared of him).

Only two things prevent this: a real SDNY case that he has to fight, or his health.

But he was in power and did little or no work. He wouldn’t be doing any work in a shadow government.

Watching this video I realized that one of the things that comes with the democratization of the bully pulpit and rise of fringe views social media allows by its free, instant and widespread distribution capabilities is the additional misconception among those who lever it that they have power beyond their own abilities. Just because you can reach an audience of millions doesn't mean you have the ability to do anything other than reach it. When actual numbers speak, when there is action like the election, the pathetic powerlessness of the fringe is exposed as all talk. This is precisely why I am not, and have never been, worried about "revolution" nor "civil war." This fat piece of shit can yammer on all he wants, but he isn't a superhero -- he works at Burger King, and his shift starts in an hour.

Tbf, there were more than a few in this thread on election night that kept pointing to the bookie odds as being somehow proof that I was talking shite and Trump would win.
