As it stands all our players in last 16? Maybe only kev, akanji and gundo missing out

It’s important that ALL our players get proportionate game time to keep them in condition and rhythm.

This is particularly important for those not at the WC.

I hope that the club have a programme for Erling that concentrates specifically on his touch,close control,turning mobility and core fitness all of which can be improved.

The break can be very valuable for a combination of recuperation and review along with some intense ,focused conditioning and coaching.

Our game schedule from 22 Dec onwards is very demanding, a game every 3 days to the end of the season so we need to be fit, focused ruthless and relentless and hit the ground running and winning.

I’m not sure leaving Kane out would be showing balls, more showing he’s had a mental breakdown.

He’s had at least two quality assists that I can remember, so hardly anonymous. Time will tell if he’s a “busted flush ” I suspect it may be a slightly premature diagnosis though.

Had a close escape last night entering the Bin Ali stadium for England v Wales. You have to get through airport security style checks. So my bag went through in the tray and at the other end the police and stewards looked concerned. On unzipping my bag the first thing that was staring us in the face was
a full and unopened can of Heineken!! Oh dear I thought and I was invited to come with them.I'd forgotten that I'd put it in my bag when we were swapping bars in the radisson blu. Luckily they sent me on my way thinking I must be deranged. Off to Australia v Denmark in an hour no Carlsberg accompaniment tonight..

I’d rather walk round Stalybridge with a nail in my shoe than watch Australia v Denmark, couldn’t get the enthusiasm to watch it on TV never mind paying to get in. How much was it? I’m guessing about a ton?

Great, two assists in three games, big lumbering out of form Centre Forward hits the ball across the six yard area from wide, a cross that HE should be getting on the end of but luckily for him Foden was his last man at the far stick. It was a “guess” ball and paid off. I’m so glad we didn’t pay 120m plus for a player who will be Rooney style fucked at 30 and will end up peddling his trade in the USA.

It’s a weird take that a perfect cross in to the path of someone running in to finish is “lucky” because the person he was passing to happened to be there. Might as well claim that someone smashing a 40 yarder into the top corner is lucky the goal happened to be where it is.
