2024 - a tough year or a good one?

I'm sat in the conservatory mate .
The door was shut but she's just opened the door ..( she can open doors clever bugger...)
Walked in, and put her head on my knee..( I'm having my tea)..

Them big brown eyes are looking right up at me..

Yes.. she getting a bit of my food...
Always always share with her.
Part of my "pack"..
Bliss...

Ha! Even if I’m out somewhere, I can never finish a sandwich, always had to leave a little bit expecting to give it to a dog, been doing it since I was about 5 years old!

Dogs are the best cure for most things mate.
Amazing animal's.
The best on this planet imho..

Wait till that puppy is 1 or 2 years old.. and it becomes one of your best mates , if not the...

It'll set you reet mentally for a lot of stuff....
The other dog already is mate she’s so loyal, this little bugger goes the same way I’ll need a bigger lap.

The 80/20 rule usually applies.

This year, it’s hard to know which is which…80% good, 20% bad or vice versa?!

I’m going to be optimistic, even after Trump’s election and state maybe this year isn’t an 80/20 after all, but a 99/1 to the GOOD, because the wife and kids are golden and healthy and that’s really all that matters in the end…family & health!
Presume that's the 20% of your customers give you 80% of your problems rule as well

Nah, that’s usually a 99/1 issue, too. Or, in my case last week, 316/2!

Had to leave two lads in Europe last week. Some people just can’t listen, or won’t listen, but the result is the same.

Made over 300 people late to Chicago, but got to do the job and keep my crew and customers safe.

I have to look back at photos because they have the date that things happen lol.

So I guess a normal year for someone in their mid sixties.
Physical
Two lots of lasor eye surgery and some more skin cancer spotted on my head.
A trapped nerve in my right thigh which hurts alot when standing but soon goes when I sit down.
Mentally
Sound as a pound, kin loving life, enjoying work, best job I've ever had. Lots of holiday or short breaks in, Cornwall, Norfolk, Lincolnshire and Hampshire. Already booked a week the Peak district for May.

My life plan has changed now, get to see and do as much as I can before I can't

Pretty mixed. First half of the year ok. Pretty steady albeit I didn't get as much fishing done as I had planned. Second half not great. One of my kids marriage has failed. One of my grandkids is having behavioural problems. The world seems increasingly unhinged. Second year of trying to keep my blood pressure under control. The older I get the less resilient I feel to the bumps in the road. On the plus, Mrs S is free of breast cancer two years after treatment.

Mixed. My Mum has started developing Cataracts which is starting to affect her driving and she is on new meds for her heart. My eldest niece has started College and is learning to drive. Yesterday I slipped on the ice after finishing a gym session but not too much damage. I am doing ok in the gym and swimming and have suprised myself in not jacking it all in (although recently I came close in doing so)

I'd love to do that...I lock peoples cars in our compound for a laugh because the twats can't or wont park in the car park 100yds away and pay, they think a work compound with 3 vans and staff cars next to 3 industrial units behind a huge gate and industrial fencing constitutes free parking for some reason.
