Chatted to a few people today and seems to be a consistent theme that they have had a tough 2024 with major changes in life and generally found things tough. Got me thinking has life got harder since 2020? Feels very much like it has to me.

It’s been hard since 2019. I was ill before ‘Covid’ and since getting ill, its been one hit after another.

A month or so left so I don't want to tempt fate, old habits die hard being a long suffering blue.
Personally aside from a few niggles that come with ageing and everything rising in price it's been reasonable.
The world however is pretty depressing to say the least. Wars, the threat of world war 3 and hatred and division seems to be everywhere. All you can do is try and ignore it, hard I know and soldier on, concentrating on family, friends and what makes you happy.
Here's hoping 2025 brings more peace, harmony and love.

Me and the Mrs experienced redundancy and unemployment for a while as the company we both worked for went into administration which wasn't a great time, but the worst was my previous partner who was still my friend horrifically committing suicide during that time. That knocked me sideways and I think about it everyday and probably will for the rest of my life. The funeral was heartbreaking too.

I now have a new job and settling in nicely. Nice people and a good culture and keeps me busy without being stressful.
