2025 Rugby League Season

I have never owned any red clothing - my Dad forbade it when I was a nipper and I decided that red just doesn't suit me. Worst 6 years of my life were when because of the buying policy of the firm I worked for I had to drive two red Astra's as company cars one after the other. As soon as they relaxed the policy my next one was a blue one all be it a quite dark blue - after that all the cars I had were a shade of blue - its cleansing
I feel for you on the car front! I've occasionally driven one of my sons'red car - one time to an Etihad stadium tour, and boy did I feel dirrrty! My own car is white and reg no begins MC69 - year I started to support, nowt to do with favoured extra curricular positions :-). It was in for service day I took my mate to aforementioned stadium tour. I apologised to her!!
Your dad brought you up well. X

Unfortunately red does suit my colouring,as I was told many times in my rugby following years.... ( Fortunately Sunday games in those days so no clash with our matches, apart from the odd midwek Tuesday - early to mid 70s).

when I retired and then sourced my own cars I notice that a lot of used red cars suffer from chronic lacquer peel and fading paint - its Gods revenge giving red cars skin cancer to punish their sin lol

Congrats Billy Boston on your knighthood. Next year it should be Sir Kevin Sinfield too.

Been waking up in the middle of the night and watching an hour of State of Origin build up. The maroons have done a City / Kyle Walker and ditched their Captain (Daly Cherry Evans) mid series. Hopefully, the Blues (new South Wales will give Queensland another tonking next week.

Leeds vs Wire this Saturday. Hopefully, Warrington are knackered from Wembley. Great reffing to give a try on field to Hull KR. It looked like a knock on on real time

I’ve never watched a women’s rugby game in my life until the other day, when I stumbled across the women’s State of Origin.

I think I only left it on for a bit of a giggle at first, but you know, it was pretty good.

It probably helped that it was packaged up into showing the highlights of all three games in about 45 minutes.

I suspect it’s on a different planet to anything that gets played in this country though. In fact, I’ve just remembered, didn’t the Aussie ladies beat GB about 100-0 the other week in Vegas?

I think that will be first and last Vegas game featuring an English or British women’s team. I saw an interview with James Graham interviewing an Aussie women’s player and they agreed that the mismatch had set the international women’s game backwards.

The State of Origin is the highest quality rugby league with the refs letting a bit more go too.

Hull KR need to chill out. If I've worked it out correctly, they've won 24 (soon to be 25) Super League games in a row if you exclude games against Wigan. Fair play to Wigan for beating them 3 times during that period!

I'll be amazed if it isn't those 2 in the Grand Final again this year.

24 hours on and I still can't believe how absolutely abysmal Oldham were last night.

Dramatic end to the game with saints last move. How they kept it alive I have no idea, to go and score to win it.

This. Why choose any colour when blue is available. Choose blue. Any fucker I see in any red clothing I always ask ‘Can you get them in blue?’ or cars etc. I go to home matches on the bus and when it pulls into the Etihad car park there’s always about 10-15 cars in the car park which are red. WTF! These people are City fans paying good money to buy car park season tickets and yet they’re driving about in a fucking red car!!

Very professional performance from Wigan last night, despite been second best for large parts of the game. You could just sense that the double whammy just before half time of being given no try at one end and then seeing Wigan score at the other, just drained all the belief out of them.

No doubt that Hull KR have been the best side this season. But I suspect they're going to find out next week ( assuming they don't blow it tonight ) that winning Grand Finals isn't about being the best team, it's about peaking at the right time. And Wigan seem to have perfected that in the last few years. It doesn't happen by chance.
