2026 Community Shield | Millennium Stadium

On the back of winning the title, I’d say Arsenal will sell out. That might not be the case if they had to make the journey out of London 30 odd times in 15 years though.

Hopefully novelty value will mean we take a good crowd down, as a few have said though that might be offset by the travel issues from Manchester.

Personally, the only reason I miss Cup Semi Finals and Community Shields is Wembley fatigue, so definitely intend to be there for this one.

I looked at travelling to Cardiff for this but the trains were hopeless. I would have had to travel down on Saturday and back on Monday with two nights in a hotel.

I investigating flying to Cardiff or Bristol but that was no better due to flight timings and connections. So I will give this one a miss.
 
Me and the wife going, staying in Bristol Sat night ( hoping Rovers at home for my 92) and then onto Cardiff for the game and Sunday night, hotels reasonable.

Would be great to have a few Blues making the effort, Peps gone now and the club will need us more.

Do the Saturday night in Cwmbran it’s on rout from Manchester Piccadilly
We got the premier inn for £72 twin/family room.

no big intercity service from Mcr just 2 small carriages even through rush hour which stop at every last village along the way . 3 1/2 hours off hell if your stood up on a hot crowded pokey carriage .. don't even think you can pre book seats 1st come 1st seated .

5 carriage trains with restuarant car, several times a day.
Obviously substitutions do occur but has become less often.
