My guess is that they’ll be giving tickets away to try and fill stadia by the time the tournament starts.

Especially now they've watered it down by adding a load of teams that weren't good enough to qualify when it was 32 teams. I'm sure the American fans will be falling over themselves to get tickets for Iran vs New Zealand, Cape Verde vs Saudi Arabia or Haiti vs Scotland.

Another huge step along the way of transforming what;s supposed to be a game into an entertainment spectacle. Next step is Hollywood script writers and TV viewing delayed until the big games have been on at the cinema. Seeding teams to keep the 'favourites' apart is another disgrace IMHO, it's supposed to be a knock-out competition and if for example France and Haiti come out of the hat then they play each other. I still enjoy watching City games on TV but no way I'd jump through the ever increasing number of hoops to get a ticket and go and watch a game live even if tickets were a fiver.

Was thinking the same, I reckon if you're a decent poker player and wanted to watch World Cup games for the less fashionable teams. Then just be around the city of choice a few days before and you'll pick up tickets no problem.

its on demand pricing so i dont think there will be any refunds. If you pay top whack then tough shit I expect. If there are tickets left they will just drop the prices for those that remain.

With 4/5k tickets a game they will sell out.

If England get to the final there will be more than 1,125 people who will pay £6.5k for a ticket.

Some games have half the tickets at $60/£45, which is close to the median for an adult PL season ticket pro rata at CoMS.
