I said last season that it should be Torres CF and Jesus on the wing.

People point to his poor game against spurs but who played well against spurs ?

Torres tended to be picked in our not strongest line up. But put him in with our strongest line up or very near our strongest lineup and that brings the best out of him. Now once he gets more confident he might do better in our 'weaker' 11.
All players play better with good players around them.
I dont mean to sound a cocky twat by saying 'weaker' 11 that's perhaps not the right word. But the spurs game in my eyes wasn't our strongest 11 !
We were severely undercooked v the Spuds but if Eric and Bernie had played instead of Ake and Mahrez or Sterling I don't think we would have lost.

Everyone just needs to get used to playing with a striker I suppose. Heads up lads he’s making another good run in behind!
He was doing this the entirety of the Spurs game!

No KDB plus the Mendy/Ake Axis of Wank did not help with getting him service, needless to say.

He can easily score 20-25 goals in all competitions - if he gets the minutes - Jesus got last year as a CF..

Has phenomenal finishing skills, body balance while dribbling with the ball and in overall - is a great player..

So, if he scores 25 goals - then I wouldn't even go for Haaland at the end of the next season and go with the Torress / Delap pair..

21 years old, great potential - can easily become one of the top strikers in the world in 2-3 years.. Has everything for that..

Looks like he's going to have to learn to be a striker. Certainly got a decent foundation to build from.

If Ferran can develop into a top striker, huge credit has to be given to the club and Pep. In a time where there is such a lack of top strikers available and all for insane fees, to be able to develop a young winger into an elite CF would be some achievement.

I couldn‘t watch the opener against Spurs but i guess it depends how he does against the better team. Norwich and Arsenal are not really the teams we should be scared of / or where u would expect it to be close. No hate on him - he did what he did and he‘s probably been a winger all his career. For me the closer games are the ones where we gonna see if he can be the main striker or not.

Ferran will beat him on goals.

Jesus will beat him on assists.
I had thought 10 league goal from Torre and 10 league assist from Jesus will be enough to compete for the league. These are more than what City had got from a striker and a right winger. Now, Torres already has two goals, and Jesus three assists. I think they will get their numbers.
