I haven't read the whole thread but I'd be more inclined to take an old Mayan prophecy seriously if the same people had also predicted the Spanish sailing across the Atlantic, wiping them out and stealing all their gold.

All except that they predicted nothing of the sort, doomsday sells I am afraid and a lot of people have made a lot of money out of this, and will be laughing all the way to the bank!

From what I've heard it's suppose to end 21st December 11:11am or 11:11pm not too clear on which time of day! I'm going off UK time!
