I agree there should be no abuse but looking at it constructively I honestly can't think of many worse fullbacks in 50 years of watching City. The ones that spring to mind are Tony Vaughan and Lee Crooks but that was in the third division. It is amazing that he is still playing for any PL team after his injury. For example, I have never seen any our players consistently blast crosses out for throw-ins as much as he does.

Physically Zinchenko is not superior to Mendy.

The problem is Mendy is making bad decision in defending, Zinchenko is simply smarter.

Sorry but that's ridiculous. Zinchenko is an established international footballer and Captain of Ukraine where he plays in central midfield. You can't compare Zinchenko with Mendy. Mendy is technically very poor and he can only play with one foot.

Ok fair comment. Mendy had fantastic pace but the injury killed him. It is a mystery that he is still anywhere near the squad. I felt sorry for Ake today having to do two players' work.

Appalling at anticipating and tracking the runs and a defensive liability

Overall pros worst signing by a mile. A waste of money that should be sold or if no buyers pAy him up and fuck him off
