Tomorrow would be a good game. No KDB, so we could use natural width to open up some space and his height will be useful defending set pieces vs. Fat Sam's giants.
Possibly and that may be why Pep took him off early at the weekend.
I can see Pep using Zinchenko, Laporte and Ake before him though.
If he does get a run he needs to take his chance. He was bought as the first choice left back.

I think we will sell him in the Summer as his book value will only be 10M, failing that I see a season long loan until his contract expires.

A transfer at £10m wouldn't be out of reach and there will likely be some clubs willing to take a punt.

The main issue is the fact he's on £60m player wages, despite no longer having that quality. It's very unlikely another club is going to pay him £100k per week and I can't see him taking a paycut (especially as someone that's been so impacted by injuries), unless he really wants out in order to rebuild his career as a starter.

Mendy doesn't really strike me as that type though and I think he'll be happy to bide his time for 18 months while his contract dwindles down - he'll still only be around 28/29 at that stage.

He will only have a year left in the summer and with his history of bad injuries he'd be smart if he could get a 3 or 4 year contract elsewhere. Then there is a signing on fee and pay off from City. We need to move him on and bring in a quality LB, Zinchenko deserves to stay over Mendy as back up.

You might be right and you might be wrong but there‘s no evidence to my knowledge that he would take that attitude. Maybe the club should give him a bit more of a push towards the door though.

Personally I don’t think he should getting m(any) more games for us barring something miraculous happening. He’s surplus to requirements.
