Seeing as how the world is apparently about to end after a run of five draws,in all the apparent excitement it seems to have escaped our collective attention that on the day we failed to beat the mighty Clarets(who I actually thought gave the best first half performance I've seen at our ground this season, despite how crap we were) it was the 22nd anniversary of us thrashing Huddersfield 10-1 at Maine rd....

Huddersfield manager Malcolm McDonald allegedly said after the game that "at least seven of their ten goals were offside."

Chins up and smile,people....

My mate who I used to go with to City decided that he would give the game a miss as he had just started seeing a new girlfriend. It was a very memorable day as City were shite to start with and I was begining to think my mate had the right idea. As it is, in my 33 years of watching City, it is up there in my top 10 of most memorable games. The crowd was shite too, only 19k, but such was life back then, but we had a good old laugh in K Block.

I recall that Granada Reports showed the goals on the Monday night with Blue Monday by New Order dubbed over

Remember the same year went to Leeds Rd in the cup and was expecting us to hammer them again. Scraped 2 - 2 with John Gidman equalising after about 6 minutes of extra time. That amount was unheard of in those days.

I grew up in Honley in Huddersfield and used to throw that at Town fans when they started getting lippy especially when we were extremely poo.

Every morning on my walk to school I used to pass a car that had the number plate TEN 1. Never found out if they were blues are not but with that they must be!? Is it anyone on here?
