People are rightfully criticizing Walker and Lewis but very quiet about Gvardiol, sorry but his defending recently has not been any better, it's almost sunday league level, he's good in attack but he can't keep defending like this.
Maybe because he has been our players of the season? He was bad today, but he would be the only player (with Ederson) to have a passing grade this season.People are rightfully criticizing Walker and Lewis but very quiet about Gvardiol, sorry but his defending recently has not been any better, it's almost sunday league level, he's good in attack but he can't keep defending like this.
He's just making too many big mistakes lately, it was a joke how he allowed Kulusevski to beat him for the ball for the first goal, and his shitty square pass led to the second goal, game was over because of his mistakes.Maybe because he has been our players of the season? I don’t know why people think he doesn’t get any criticism. Even on days he ends up a MoTM contender, the match day thread is filled with “ffs.” I assume it’s because he doesn’t have the longevity of Walker or the home grown aspect Rico has. And the criticism is far worse in other forums/social media.People are rightfully criticizing Walker and Lewis but very quiet about Gvardiol, sorry but his defending recently has not been any better, it's almost sunday league level, he's good in attack but he can't keep defending like this.
Mate I've been singing his praises all season except this run of games where he's been poor, yes everyone else has been poor but he made two individual mistakes that led to us going 2 down, and he cost us goals against Sporting and Brighton too, don't think I'm a prick for pointing this out.lmao, right, everyone else on that pitch dropped a masterclass except him. prick.
love the posters who never ever show up in this thread when he plays well.
that pass was utterly horrible, bet pep kicked his ass.
I'll give you Stones/Gundo but Ederson?! LOLquite funny that people blame him for the first goal when it was clearly Ederson/Stones fault...
He hit a square pass staright to Son on the edge of the box, it's not an automatic goal but it's a big chance, and just watch that first goal again, how he allows Kulusevski to get to the ball first is absolutely beyond me, when everyone else is struggling you can't have brainfarts like that.I don’t know why people think he doesn’t get any criticism. Yes, he hasn’t played well these last couple of games. But honestly, this team should be able to absorb a bad game by anyone of our players. One misplayed ball on the wing shouldn’t be an automatic goal, but it is every day. We can’t absorb mistakes because everyone seems to be having a bad game at the same time. No consistency in who plays with them or in front of them isn’t helping any of our defenders.
so he’s the one to get all the blameMate I've been singing his praises all season except this run of games where he's been poor, yes everyone else has been poor but he made two individual mistakes that led to us going 2 down, and he cost us goals against Sporting and Brighton too, don't think I'm a prick for pointing this out.

He lost a ball he was the favourite for then stood 10 yards off the same player to allow him to play a free ball into the box to another player who gundogan had just left.quite funny that people blame him for the first goal when it was clearly Ederson/Stones fault...
idk...not the first time a player can shoot from short distance after a cross & today the ball had a long time in the air....was a GK by myself & every cross in the 6-yard box should be GK ball especially with that much airtimeI'll give you Stones/Gundo but Ederson?! LOL
I think you need to watch it back. Gvardiol lets him get the ball and backs five yards off as he puts in a beautiful ball for a borderline tap-in for Maddison.
But I think that’s the point. Everyone is having shit games. He might have had the worst one today, but we could have been 2 up by that point or if Ake or Grealish were on the field (I think he works better with them) maybe they get stray pass and it’s just a hold your breath moment rather than a goal. Usually I think his “errors” are more the fault of the positions he is asked to play, but I agree these were individual errors today. I just think on another day, this team can absorb (some of) that.He hit a square pass staright to Son on the edge of the box, it's not an automatic goal but it's a big chance, and just watch that first goal again, how he allows Kulusevski to get to the ball first is absolutely beyond me, when everyone else is struggling you can't have brainfarts like that.
Even if I give you that one, which I still 100% believe wasn't on him, he made a BRILLIANT save on Kulu, which, again, Gvardiol allowed, and have made it 5-0.idk...not the first time a player can shoot from short distance after a cross & today the ball had a long time in the air....was a GK by myself & every cross in the 6-yard box should be GK ball especially with that much airtime
?...so the players who had the best chance to prevent the goal did nothing wrong..got it...a CB should take over the runner from the midfield...that`s his job when he doesn`t have a player to mark & a GK should be able to make 2/3 steps forwards to catch a cross which was at least 4 sec. in the airHe lost a ball he was the favourite for then stood 10 yards off the same player to allow him to play a free ball into the box to another player who gundogan had just left.
Not Stones or Edersons fault in the slightest but clearly Gvardiol and Gundogans.
