Fear the worst for Ferny now he is no more than a fringe player no longer able to play much game time.

Another stalwart but his time IMO was up the season before last and he takes up a spot in the squad will can ill afford not to have.

Injuries will rail road our season unfortunately albeit we are not up to scratch in a number of positions and we need a replacement for Sergio and support and another big striker like Kane ASAP.

Doubt we will get much from him in his last season at all.

Surprised he was made captain and perhaps outside KDB and Ederson we don't have a player who can inspire the side through words and deeds like a VK any more but those two fall way short of what VK bought to the team in terms of on field leadership and organisation.

Disappointed for him tonight but father time catches up with us all.

Very useful player to bring on and close a game out like last Saturday. Big loss if he’s out for a few months as we’re hardly stacked in central midfield.

Said to my dad it was stupid to put him on, 5mins later he’s out for 6 weeks. Pep really could have used Doyle or Stones if he just wanted to close the game out.
