We won more games with less possession this season we are a hybrid side now you must see the change this season if you’ve watched every game

Ederson wouldn't change the amount of chances and shots on goal we are conceding. Even with his elite passing.

At the moment we need a keeper who can keep shots out of the back of the net.

Donnarumma is the best in the business at this, so he'll do for me!!

I would'nt swap him for anybody - I think that he's the single, biggest step forward we've made this year.

There are posters on here who are obsessed with stats - what is 'domination', then?

Against Newcastle, we had 10% more possession than Arsenal did against Spurs. We also completed approaching 200 more passes than Arsenal did. But which team dominated their game, would you say?

Last year when we were getting thumped, there were still posters saying 'but we controlled the game' purely on the basis of the possession stats. If the opposition are leading by a couple of goals and are happy for you to have the ball because they are confident that they can see the game out, you aren't 'controlling' the game.

In Newcastle, Donnarumma could have won us all three points if we had converted our clear-cut chances. I still can't get over all those missed opportunities, and it wasn't their goalkeeper who saved them; unlike us, it was our shots that went wide, and that makes all the difference.

We struggle on corners because we have very few aggressive players in our starting eleven, and those we do have are weak in duels and physical battles, not to mention their heading ability. Apart from Haaland, we have Cherki, Foden, Bernardo, and Doku, who are useless in that area. Even our center-backs aren't strong headers, so we're struggling.

Then we need to change our style imo. He's no worse with his feet than Raya.

Raya's short pass accuracy is 66%, his long ball accuracy is 37%. Donnarumma's short pass accuracy is 73% and his long ball accuracy is also 37%.

You're vastly over rating the shots he saved at the weekend. He has made some great saves in previous games but nothing he faced at the weekend was anything more than an ordinary save, they kept hitting it straight at him.

His best save was the one that was flagged for offside (although i don't actually think he was) but even that was a fairly standard one.

ask yourself how many of them saves he made saturday that are ordinary as you put it, would of been goals in previous seasons and this isn't me slating ederson, but i've seen them same shots on saturday end up in goals.

None of them. Ederson didnt let them shots in, any keeper in the championship saves all of those. If one of those goes in, its a bad keeping error.

If you want to use something like Mbuemo's volley and question whether Ederson saves that, that is fair, as that was a top, top save. On saturday, Donnarumma just wasn't forced into saving anything any keeper in the league wouldn't regard as bread and butter.

He's been excellent for us for the most part. Saturday wasn't his finest hour and a half since he signed. Good saves but ones you would expect him to stop . He lost the flight of the ball from quite a few corners possibly because he was more concerned with the blocking off he was having to deal with than were the ball was. If he didn't know the premier league was a different animal than the rest of Europe he's found out quite quickly. He'll adapt I have no doubt.
