How does this work with the Jan transfer window?

Say we sign a player on January 1st can he play the next game, or does he have to wait until end of jan when a revised 25 man squad list is sent to the F.A?

According to the [urlhttp://www.premierleague.com/page/Headlines/0,,12306~2094341,00.html]Premier League offical site [/url] "while the transfer windows are open, clubs may change their squads as many times as they want".

So basically it looks like the rule doesn't really apply during January.

Nice one pal. I couldn't find anything anywhere.

I was getting worried that whoever comes in wouldn't be able to play until end of the window

Yes while the window is open the squad can be changed every hour if you really wanted to however you can still only have 25 in at one time. So if we signed Dzeko first day we could take Santa Cruz out and put him in. During this time Santa couldnt feature, then if Ade went we could put him back in and so on.

The only rule that will still need adhering to is that of the 25 named there must be 8 homegrown which means trained in England for at least three years between the age of 18 and 21.

Also as normal players under 21 dont need to be registered.
