We are going into the season with no right back, Dias who’s been very poor, stones will be injured. Pep will either not use khus or sub him if he gets a yellow. Our defence is very poor. The re build should have started 2 years ago for me. Aitnori & gvadiol are the only reliable players in that back line.

We are is a shit position due to zero planning.

No one. This problem will be exposed time and time again this season. The right and left as Nouri doesn’t look great defensively either.

We need to change our style for me at least in the short term to make us more solid and go 3 at the back else this shit show will just keep happening. Pep won’t change anything though. He is too stubborn.
 
An absolute bargain but needed to be moved on. Could have done with an additonal RB as a replacement but availabilty is the sticking point.
 
It's a quality signing when you think about it. 15 mil, signed as cover but ended up significantly contributing, particularly in his first year. Big part in the CL winning goal if i remember correctly. Broke the lines.

that said i thought he was crap last year, I won't lie. There were a lot of errors, and I thought the CWC comments were a bit pathetic. Time to go, and we'll get a decent fee for him next summer.
 
Great signing who helped us to win many trophies and smash records.
A solid one-on-one defender who just lacked the ability to bring the ball out with the quality of John Stones. In the attacking areas, definitely not the best.
I wish him all the best for the future.

Talking about right-backs in every thread is as dull as it gets, and Manuel isn't one.

It absolutely does make sense.
He has been replaced by players with a higher ceiling who need to be able to be registered.

And that has what to do with keeping Akanji?

Because he's better than Dias? He isn't

Because he's better than Rico/Nunes at RB? He's not

I agree the defence needs improving, but hiw does Akanji staying improve our defence?
