really improved - he needs to consistently do this until the seasons end though

He still has a few flaws, the one run he did, held onto the ball way too long when he should have picked out the final pass

fingers crossed for him

I couldn’t find a better song to depict Mahrez performance than this: flawless, absolutely flawless...

To the haters and biased fans: you are clueless, absolutely clueless..

A special mention to the fan who said that Mahrez wouldn’t even make it in City women team...:)

He's been great this season, but I think he's still a little greedy at times and needs to pass when his team mates are in a better position. The King was free yesterday and Mahrez should have played him in. By the way the moment I'm talking about was just before half time.

I just don’t enjoy watching this style of football, from him or anyone else. Not bragging, but I have been watching football for more than 50 years, with many players I watched were similar to Mahrez. I would rather watch Foden, for example, playing more minutes and making mistakes than watching Mahrez playing his style. Remember, I have nothing against you or others who like his style. But also remember that Mahrez was considered shit for many City fans when he was playing for Leicester. All what I said is I don’t enjoy his style. Is this a crime?
Ahh, you don't like the cut of his gib. Makes sense now.

He’s a good player and seems to be getting more into the swing of things but I also don’t like his style of play. It’s down to personal preference Shirley.

When your team is 4 nil up, players have got every right to be greedy.

I like him exactly because of his style of play. Very technical and natural. Each his own. Some even like Milner's :)

It's because he makes big errors as well as being sublime. He can be involved in 10 dangerous attacks in a game, and cock up 7, but Score 2 and assist 1 in the other 3.

And you look back at the game and realise he's been involved in every goal, he was MOTM, but he was still kind of annoying because we could have had another 4 if he'd executed simple things like putting a player through on goal with a simple pass, or not being greedy.

But I think that's just who he is, and yesterday was one of the first times when I thought we really benefited from the fact he's different, and doesn't quite fit in with the rest of the squad. We were playing some very tidy football yesterday, but not really creating any chances, and 20 minutes had passed by without us really getting close to scoring.

And that's exactly when we needed Mahrez to be different, and try to dribble past 3 players or shoot from 25 yards and make the breakthrough, because as dominant as we were yesterday, if Mahrez hadn't done something magical, those 20 minutes could have easily been 30 or 40, and then suddenly everyone's getting tense and Villa are getting confident and all the great play was for nothing.
