I don't know exactly why some are biased but they are biased. It could be due to many reasons. I am trying to sort that out but I did not reach a satisfactory conclusion. It could be as simple as the fact that those scapegoated do not have many "fanboys" on this forum. I don't know.
I haven’t been involved in this and have just read it until now but you’re definitely insinuating there is some sort of discrimination regarding Mahrez and Gundo and the one characteristic they share is their religion.
I’m not saying that’s definitely your angle here but I’m struggling to think of anything else.
Now City have had a whole host of Muslim players that fans adore and our owner, a Muslim, is treated as a god at City and quite rightly. I don’t think most even know that some of them are Muslim or even care to find out.
Gundo has been very poor this season compared to last, Mahrez was very poor last season and good this one. He also missed a penalty last season, stealing the ball off our striker to blaze it over, that would have been our first win at Anfield since 2003. Many took a while to forgive that.
He’s now one of our top performers and his link up with KDB is phenomenal.
He’s rightly getting the praise after stepping up this season and showing his class.
If you think City fans are biased against Muslims or anyone for none footballing reasons then you do not know what you’re talking about. City fans, like all football fans in England, are fickle as fuck and just want players to do good things on the pitch. Most couldn’t care less as long as they stick it in the back of the net.
