No, you were the only one bashing him after the Brighton game and many posters told you you were embarrassing yourself. The amount of vitriol you spewed out against him since he started is more than you would spew out against a Rags player. You are free to hate him, just don't pretend you don't.

I don't hate him, I don't hate any football player. I just want him to be better because for most of his City career he's not been good enough. Last week he was, today he was not.

What helped him last week was a full of energy De Bruyne and Walker to make space for him. He didn't have that today.

He wasn't good really, but this short cameo isn't a fair game to assess him on.

Let's see which direction he goes in; I'm confident today's performance is more of a blip than anything.

I think dropping him probably halted any momentum from last week, deserved to keep his place to be honest.

Never a bench chasing the game player, start him or not at all, bernie didn't look fit so mahrez should have kept his place

Exactly this. Mahrez is not a super sub. Should’ve started. Bernardo was poor except that moment when he dribbled 3 players.

Bernardo wasn't poor. One thing Mahrez has over Bernardo is he's a much bigger direct threat on goal; he's better creatively and I think he's got more of a goalscoring knack about him.

Bernardo does the ugly stuff, albeit rather beautifully. He presses. He keeps the ball in tight spaces. He knits things together. He makes constant runs, even runs that are seemingly pointless. Plus he occasionally creates and scores as a bonus too.
