Massive liability? Ridiculous comment, he was a real threat tonight and played well albeit his finishing let him down.
He is a real threat (sometimes), he's capable of absolutely anything; moments of pure genius and moments of "just fucking pass it you greedy bastard". No one can ever deny him that, it's impossible.

He is also a massive liability though as the previous poster alluded, just compare and contrast the workrate and levels of concentration between Mahrez on the right and Jesus on the left. Jesus protected Mendy every single time, he's that reliable and trustworthy that you don't even doubt if he'll be back helping the team. Mahrez however, let's people run, isn't reliable and isn't trustworthy for 90 minutes; just look at the late chance Real got when their left back Mendy nearly got a goal just because Mahrez wasn't switched on and wasn't concentrating. That's in a Champions League game against Real Madrid, when you should be absolutely desperate to try and do everything for the team, he's a huge fucking liability.

That is all well and good but he keeps being selfish and going for glory instead of laying it off,the tie could have been over last night if he had of thought of others and not just himself

There’s no doubt he could be more of a team player at times.

He commandeers every single free kick, every penalty kick. Gundogan, and De Bruyne have to negotiate with Mahrez, and convince him that someone else should take it. They must've talked about this many times in the locker room, but it never changes. He always goes for his own glory.

Perhaps he's the best at them in training? Could be down to scoring two free kicks for us vs Watford and Everton.

Hi decision making is dreadful, hangs on to the ball for too long and hasn’t yet bought into the team ethic - it’s all about him and if he can score, you won’t see him lay a ball off to a team mate in front of goal for an easy finish.
He looks great when it comes off and everyone thinks he’s a hero, he probably looks good on match of the day too, but watch him for 90 minutes and he does more harm than good.
Suppose he’s a marmite player.
Not for me, would rather give Bernardo a run on the right wing and let him play himself back into form

He plays for himself. He's not a team player. I can't get upset when a player has a poor game, but putting yourself before the team, that I have a problem with. And people defending that sort of attitude - what are you thinking?!
