I think it's around 135. So it's ~ 54%. He only really started 2/3 league games last season before the restart (before Foden started getting more games instead) and this early season he's been a frequent pick.

Sterling's started around 100 as a comparison.

I think dom's point still stands albeit to a less exaggerated extent. I think based on what we've seen in his time here Pep will happily play someone else instead of Mahrez IF he thinks they're a better option. Except in the domestic cup games which is where peripheral picks like Mahrez see more starts.

@mossideblue - I'm happy today about the team sheet but haven't seen the subs so could get upset later .

Enjoy the game .

I'd like to see him play centrally when he plays for us.

It's just not working out with him on the wings, if the goal is for him to replace David's creativity, then he needs to play centrally like David. I'm surprised Pep hasn't tried him like this, he might offer something in that role that we are missing, put Foden on the wings instead.

Everytime i see his weak, spindly, pathetic, frame wearing our shirt,i feel nauseous.

So you feel the need to moan every day, each to their own.

I'm a part of many different discussion forums across the internet, covering a wide variety of topics, and I can honestly say that I've never witnessed someone moan as much about people moaning than this bloke right here.

It's just non-stop.

If he could just learn to take fewer touches the team would be so much better and benefit from his quality.

We played some lovely one and two touch football last night, weren't clinical but created plenty. When he came on, yet again, it was a display of ball hogging. Missing a quick ball into another player and instead keeping hold of the ball, letting them get back into position and then passing backwards or sideways.

When you see Foden the other side, it is much more of what we need. Pass and move football. Look to draw the full back in, pass to Gundogan in a deeper spot ans run in behind. If that ball isn't on there is space for Mendy to whip a ball in.

Mahrez is just so static off the ball and so slow to do anything when he has it that we end up just playing in front of a defensive wall.

He lacks one thing, hip movement. His feet movement is very slow. Gets the ball and dribbles in lines. He needs to move his hips more and dribble in small diagonal lines. Adds this to his game, hes a winner.
