This is the player we all thought we had signed. He grafted, passed well, crossed well and took his chances. If he can put the same effort in in his next 2 matches I will enjoy a new signing.
90% of people who give him crap on here is because we all know he can do what he did today. Problem is consistency, let's hope he's up for it.

Had the bit between his teeth from the off. His early goal settled him which meant the rest of his game was more rounded than normal.

None of our players, compared to previous eras, are shite. Mahrez isn’t rubbish it’s just that he too often flatters to deceive. Great first touch but then too many touches, sloppy in possession and doesn’t work hard enough.

Since he got called out in the press he’s had two decent performances in 3. He was good today against poor opposition. I can’t see though, at 29, the mean changing for us.

Unless there’s something drastic this season we should be moving him on in the summer for his book value and getting someone more suited to how we play.
