Because we’ve won 4-1 at Anfield ( and also won a treble etc) Pep is a genius. So would a genius really keep picking a player who is no good and offers nothing to the team .

A genius sees what a player gives to the whole and makes the whole tick. It is not about individuals in Pep's world.
 
Hard not to be extremely positive after today but I just don't see what he offers us.

I don't doubt he has great technical ability, I just don't think he suits our system at all and it's a little bit annoying he starts in games like today as it would be nice to see him moved on in the summer whilst he still has some value! Square peg in a round hole unfortunately.

yeah but in fairness Robertson looked dead on his feet weeks ago and Brighton destroyed him and Trent mid week.

Foden instantly changed the press when he took over from Riyadh.

Exactly. we can criticize him for his lack of offensive contribution but saying he was lazy is just ridiculous, where was Robertson then if he was ?
 
He's been getting unwarranted stick of late as he's been in decent form and with the exception of Foden our best winger so I had no issues with his selection but that wasn't good enough. Anonymous, too slow and predictable on the ball, not enough movement off it and his work rate was just a token effort to make it look like he was doing his job without ever actually doing it. Deserved to be subbed, probably should have been subbed earlier and we instantly looked better both ways when he was replaced.
 
just get more and more frustrated with him - he must do things in the game ( and in training ) that i don't see.....because for me he is the weak link in the team. we always look better after he is subbed and when he comes on he never seems to improve the overall team performance.

but like i said i trust this management - but boy does he wind me up
