I wish at times he would take a man on rather than lay the ball off (Perhaps he’s told to). But in the last 2 league games he’s set up the winning goal. It’s seems a bit off to slag him off.

Mahrez is popping up with crucial goals and assists. Scored the important 2nd goal against Everton, then assisted the winner against Arsenal and today assisted the winner against West Ham. Well done.

He's working harder now isn't he? Good game today.
Not to be controversial, but he's always been a harder worker than he gets credit for.

Last season he was our third most active presser behind Foden and Jesus. This season he's been one of our most effective counter pressers too.

There are plenty of reasons to find Mahrez frustrating, but if he wasn't working hard he wouldn't be getting anywhere near the amount of games he would have done.

He was double marked and there were neither Bernardo nor Cancelo to link up with. I would rather see him play it safe than run into their defenders, lose the ball and get exposed to counter attacks. The only time he was not double marked and got one one one situation he pulled off a game wining assist.
This is a fair point. Walker behind him is fucking horrible compared to Cancelo. I still expect more from a winger though, you have to try and beat your full back sometimes, even if it’s just to keep him on his toes.

Not everything came off for him today, but he worked really hard and did some excellent things.

The working hard part was the most impressive thing!

Based on current form, I think he'll be Pep's starting right winger.

Last 3 games with a full 90 min (Everton, Arsenal, Westham) he has contributed a goal or assist in each game, and all quite vital to those wins.

Some people probably won't want to admit it, but he is very important to us, and while he has frustrating parts, if he continues pitching in regularly like this when given 90 mins then Pep will be very happy with him.

not great, but had some good moments and a very good assist. Like De Bruyne I can forgive him being quiet as long as he puts a shift and makes key contributions, it's when he's quiet and there's no goals or assists to his name for a run of games that it becomes an issue.

Good game again and always a threat , i think the penny has dropped he is putting a shift in closing down etc , he is still a greedy f*cker but if he keeps on scoring and assisting every game , worth a place in the team.
