His work rate & confidence has been the biggest turn around. Still makes the odd mistake but he’s not hiding any more & that’s all the fans want at city. Play with your heart & which he is. He’s a very clever footballer

Watching Mahrez these last few months it seems we are now seeing the player we coveted at Leicester. When he is influencing games on the big stage you have to take notice. I for one, was weary of his often lazy individual performances and the penalty miss at Klanfield was the nadir of my opinion. Now the guy looks class and is becoming undropable. I can now watch a match without uttering FFS Mahrez.

He's a big confidence player, even started tracking back and putting his foot in now as opposed to just looking like he was. He's been superb these last few months and is nowhere near where he was in his FFS days but, we do things differently and it's used certainly by me & my match going mates as a term of endearment now.

As you say he is becoming un-dropable, we really miss him when he isn't playing, he gives us a lot of control on the right, the way he takes any pass and its instantly trapped and then he is on the move is awesome to see, don't think I have ever seen a player - apart from perhaps David Silva with that ability. And of course he scores goals - important goals too. His play in recent weeks/months has been excellent.

In the last three months he's become FFC Mahrez -
F.....g First class.
Barring injury, the only issue from last night's selection being the first 11 is whether Fern stays in for Rodri, and after last night, I suspect the jury isn't out on that one anymore either, as Fern was at his very best.
