He's always brilliant to watch, but often frustrating. He's showing the fight and attitude, combined with his talent and is looking exceptional. Hopefully he can drag some of the others with him, we need everyone to show his commitment if we want to win things this season.

When he's out of form, the two things that he usually gets criticized for are a lack of intensity and poor decision making in the final third. Right now he can't be faulted for either of those things. He's working hard, he's going at defenders when he has the ball, and crucially he's routinely making the right decision (pass/shoot, go inside or outside etc.) when he gets in the danger area

I'd rather him find form in the 2nd half of the season, he usually steps up in the CL too.

Hated by many on this forum - I've always liked him. And he's been essential to us winning many of our recent matches.

It works thus - we attack on the left and then switch the ball to Mahrez - and because of our left-side overload, he's one-on-one. And Mahrez consistently torches left-side fullbacks one-on-one and delivers killer crosses and/or shots on goal.

Hate is a very strong word and i dont think that is the issue, supporters get frustrated becouse is lack of consisteny over season.
Dont need a new Andrés Escobar.

Steps up yet again. we don't get the ball to him nearly enough compared to the left side but when he gets it, you anticipate something happening much more than anybody else bar an on song kdb. He's regularly making things happen, gets at his marker and can go either way.

Very, very unselfish which isn't his usual style to lay it on a plate for Haalands hattrick too. Virtually everybody would be shooting after a touch but he had the presence to delay and wait for Haaland to get himself into position before giving it him for a tap in.

Quietly works his arse off too. Superb, no debate about him being in the starting 11 whatsoever at present.

Mahrez on fire - wish he were about 15 years younger though - we need to find a replacement for him - and for many other positions right now if we're to challenge for the title next season.
