Much better with his effort today, he's been guilty of not doing the yards but that's a much better standard. Shown the other front players the level and they didnt match it. Lovely assist.

No idea why the hell he didn't once try and go at Timber who played 70 minutes on a yellow card and didn't have to make a single tackle in that period though? You go down the outside you stick in a decent delivery, do that half a dozen to a dozen times in a game and Haaland is going to get at least 2 or 3 good chances to score from that. Why aren't we using the most potent weapons we have? It's like going into a fight and ignoring the automatic machine gun laying on the ground in favour of the broken spud peeler next to it.

Who cares about some classic wing play when you can pass it back to Gvardiol or Kovacic ? it's been coached in them mate you know that.

Magic for our goal

Showed the first sign I've seen of him learning how to defend, when he was back to help a player inside of gvardiol and was pointing to gvardiol to go on the outside to mark the wider player. I know that one action doesn't make him Franz beckenbauer, but it's a start of him adapting and improving his game

I don't think he'd played particularly well today and I'd probably have had him off before he set Haaland up, but he's consistently showing he's got that bit of magic in him

He just pretends to defend and causally backs off 3 steps everytime when he is against the opposite wingers. Let them pass and shoot as they wish to. But it looks "busy" so fans will say him defending well. Part is true because Diva Foden does not defend at all. So everyone who at least tries automatically is better.

Attacking wise he is very lively but let down by his teammates sometimes. The pass from Kova sums it all.

What’s his contract running until? I always have a fear about Brazilian forwards and their constant magnetism to Barcelona/Real Madrid.

He’s mustard now. Exciting to think how good he’ll be in 6 months from now, never mind in years when he’s getting into his prime!

Only one who looked an actual level or 2 above and a genuine threat. Should have played on the left though, play your best players in their best positions and fit the rest around them not the other way around. Surprised he played the 90 because to me he absolutely has to start against madrid if we are to score.

Left sided Savinho is vastly superior to right sided Savinho
But right-sided Savinho is better than any other of our players.
He frustrates and excites.
Laid 2 great chances on today for Gundogan and Marmoush that were peak DeBruyne passes

He was so frustrated today, no real movement in the box and not many showing for the ball. Thought he played well, just needs a settled side around him.

I thought he was amazing 1st half on the RW. 2nd half we didnt play to him as much for some reason.

That trivela cross deserved an assist, and Gundogan should have got him another.

Im not understanding the comments of people watch that game and saying "He is way better on the left".

Maybe if he didnt play well, then sure, but he obviously made numerous chances.

It looks to me, that no matter the wing, he plays at a similar high level.

The side he plays will likely be the one to compliment his partner.

Grealish, Doku, Sav goes RW.

Foden, Bobb, Sav goes LW.

Normally id prefer Pep playing the players in 1 spot, but Sav is just so good it doesnt matter where you play him, he will produce.

Very good on the right but definitely better on the left.
Incredible ability to swing incoming crosses on the run at speed on the left. Haaland will gobble up those.
I'd play him on the left and let the others fight for the right hand side position.
He shouldn't be swapped position to facilitate other players.
