Are we sure he's not just really really bad ?
He was brilliant on the left for that brief spell. Then pep puts him right and we get to nullify his crossing whilst having to watch him shoot (if you can call it that)

Clearly has a lot of talent and potential, just put him back on the left where he can set up haaland and we dont need to see him shoot.

its no use having all the technical dribbling ability if you are no threat in front of goal.....

He has great technical skill BUT he needs to be a team player and just do the simple things sometimes...needs to see the pass quicker

Lastly if he cant improve his finishing then he is no use to us - next season is a big season of him

I could equally post this in the Doku thread so it doesn't matter as it's about both of our wingers. Pep's teams here haven't usually had two out and out flamboyant wingers that have been given the freedom to just express themselves and attack so freely. He muzzled Sane and Sterling to a point, he has shackled Grealish and Silva who although neither are what you would call true wingers and all they offer is rotation and fouls in the case of Grealish. Mahrez looked world class in comparison but again he was never a flying winger. So what I don't get is why these two? Why have City and Pep out of all the wingers available in world football decided to let Doku and Savinho have the freedom to go for it. I will gladly accept they are not helped by not having two overlapping defenders and I think this really negates their danger but I've seen enough to say I don't think either are good enough for elite top class football. Not enough assists and goals. And yes they are young and they will improve but even so I don't see them improving anywhere near enough. Hopefully im wrong but there are some fantastic glimpses that all too often flatters to decieve. Why these two baffles me more than anything else?

Let's get one thing right here... Riyad Mahrez definitely was a World class player.

Given their ages, Savinho and Doku can at least still dream of being as good as Mahrez.

Depends on an individuals interpretation of world class. Personally I think its banded around far too much. He was top level but Silva, Aguero and KDB are world class. My point about Mahrez was he wasn't used as a flying winger, whether he had that in his locker or not I don't know. I'm not criticising him by the way.

Why’s he been moved from the left? Was outstanding there, and weirdly been moved to the other side.

He can’t play on the right. He can’t shoot for shit. Cutting in on his stronger left and shooting is pointless.

He’s better on the left getting on the outside and using his left to get balls in.

Makes the absolute most of his dribbling ability and speed on the left as well.

He doesn't offer any goalscoring threat on the wings, same as Doku. Every top team has dangerous wingers capable of scoring, but ours couldn't score in an empty training net.

Him and Doku sum where City are at the moment a top 8 team I don’t think neither of them are top 4 or title winning wingers, squad players yes but not starters as their goal put is simply not good enough.
Thing is neither Haaland looks like a world beater right now and the midfield is dreadful.

Personally I don’t think he is anywhere near good enough. A few good games but I’m not impressed with him at all. A nothing game today and missed a great chance.
