26 | Savinho - 2024/25

+1 for someone who thinks some of the takes on this thread will look silly this time next year let alone in a few years.

Doku, on the other hand...

It helps both him and Haaland when he plays on his natural side and doesn't have to cut back inside before crossing meaning there's less of a delay

I think the real promising sign was the assist. Crosses like those are part of what made him stand out at Girona, so if he's doing that for us, then it's a real asset
He put a cross in to Haaland in a mirror image situation against Everton n’all. From the right wing, right on Haaland’s head in the box (who strangely opted to head it back across goal instead of at goal).

He just has one weakness: his shot isn't as good as Mahrez's. If he can improve that or find a way to generate more power.. he'll massively improve.

I was just about to say about his shooting.
Very weak.
But he has all the ability to be a top player.
Thought he looked better on the left.
Wish we could get it out wide.
And put a fast early ball in.
Hit the big lad quickly or play it behind for him to run on to.
Hope this lad pushes on now

I like him LW as sort of a LWB.

Wide and focusing on crossing or cut backs.

But if we want our wingers to come inside more like how Mahrez did it, then he should do that on the RW.

Maybe our team will want a balance from our wingers where the LW is left footed, and the RW is left footed but cuts inside (McAtee).

Im still kind of unsure on Doku, if he is better cutting in as LW or using him as a wide crosser on RW like Savino did.
