26 | Savinho - 2024/25

Interesting but I feel Man City fans (at least on this board) have a lot more leeway for Savinho than Doku, even when compared to Doku's first season. What is it that you guys like about Savinho that makes him more of a fan darling than Doku? Honestly just curious.
I haven't seen any preference to Savinho over Doku.

I'll ask you that question.
What do you see in Doku that makes you think he is better than Savinho.
I find them quite similar.
Brilliant at times and infuriating at times.
I am not too enamoured with their reactions when they get tackled, mind you.
I reckon another season under Pep and we will see more consistency from both

I don't have preference but the fans I talked to have.

In their opinions Savinho cost much less transfer fee and showed a much better defensive attitude than Doku showed when he arrived.

Almost half of the season passed and still 0 goal, crazy stat for a winger. Glad that at least we got Doku.

I think Doku's natural ball talent is out of Savinho's league. Talking strictly about close control and the physical gifts he has, he is one of those people that look like they were born to play football. He has a lot of deficiences, thats very true, decision making in the final moment and workrate. But hes just someone who is more exciting, thats why its strange. Basically it feels like there are a lot of players like Savinho, but very few like Doku.

See the Rodri Performances 2019 thread for a right good laugh!
Tbf Rodri just wasn't that good in his first 18 months. Glad we stuck with him though, and we should stick with Savinho. Needs to toughen up but he'll get there.

I agree. Savinho has done alright, but Doku regularly makes full backs shit themselves. There's a reason he always gets doubled up on.
