Twice as good Sane in his first 6 months here

If he is half as good as Sane at his best for the remainder of his career here, bargain of the century

Overall game wasn't that great in truth, but getting a goal and an assist is a great contribution and if you're making that kind of contribution, nothing else really matters.

Hopefully that's the spark the lad needed, could see the relief in his face when he scored. I don't think anybody else in the squad scores that bar maybe Nunes. Very few have the instincts to sniff out goals. Doku and grealish wouldn't be alert enough to follow that in and if they did, doku would want to take the keeper on 6 times and grealish would find a way to get the ball back to Ortega.

Good instincts, type of goal sterling would thrive off, now he needs to do it again and again and again.

So many basics of his game that need to be improved upon and should be relatively easy to do so and once he does, we will have a beast. Biggest one from today was he loses the ball so easily because he's so weak and cannot shield the ball with his body, stick him up against Dias in training constantly and get this lad roughed up, if he can learn to bounce off checks, he has the ability to go beyond players for fun.

Peps got to start him next few games, we need at least some players in top form.
If he's got that instinct and they can coach Sterling type positioning into him then my word we'll have someone our hands

I have called him out often enough but today he was good. Less show pony far more integrated into the team. He took his goal well and i hope thats the first of many. Good assist too.

Do you remember Sane before christmas in his first season? He looked hopeless
Yes, and I wouldn't say hopeless....I also see the current Savinho, and bar two 10sec passages of play today, he hardly had a kick! I want all our players to become world class, but they won't, and I see nothing in Savinho, or Doku either, to suggest they will ever be more than decent. So far, Savinho looks levels below Jesus when he first signed.

That is baffling, but you are entitled to your opinion

I will have to respectfully disagree with you there, mate. Savinho has a better touch, better technique and is a far better dribbler than Jesus.
Jesus also had the luxury of being intergrated into a far better team than the one Savinho has been thrust into.
Savinho also seems to have a lot more confidence in his ability than Jesus has.
I think Savinho has been fantastic. His performances have been fine. If he was a 20 year old kid who had come through our ranks, everyone would be raving about his promising start, about how good he has looked and how unlucky he has been not to have better stats.
Because we bought him, lots of people have been writing him off because he does not have 10 goals and 8 assists.
He will be an absolutely brilliant player for us.

Savinho is on a different plane to Doku. Yesterday was encouraging, his two moments basically won us the game. If he can maintain that kind of productivity, then we have a gem on our hands.

He’ll become a goal scoring machine, IMO. The simple action of following in a shot in case the keeper parries the ball is a lost art and one that you don’t usually see from wingers.

Shows good anticipation of where the ball is going to go (or potentially go) and will serve him very well in terms of scoring goals.

I think Sav has shown a lot of promise since arriving, confidence yes, also a bit naive. Gr8 he got the goal probably what he needs. He was ok until he got the goal, then saw absolutely nothing from him, no wanting to receive the ball, no tracking back, should have been substituted in my opinion.

A goal and an assist and he still can't catch a break.
